With more than fifteen years of experience, Mickey is committed to showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of his homeland Borneo, especially in Tanjung Puting National Park, to travelers around the world. Orangutan Journey has been actively involved in community and social initiatives over the past decade. We have dedicated ourselves to educating local tourism workers, tour guides, and conservation communities, as well as mentoring tourism students in high schools. I am an anthropologist by academic background, but this experience was better than anything a university/course can teach. Because of your guidance I have been able to experience life-custom, culture, nature, 1st hand, and hand-in-hand with my beautiful daughter. Life is short, especially seen through the prism of 4 billion years of evolution. But seeing life through the veil of the Borneo rainforest - naturally removing the mystery of life - just witnessing as a privileged guest, life became magnificently present.
